Happy Turkey Day, Mags!
Wish they would have gotten those results to you, but I'm betting you will have a lovely time despite the delay. It's going to be good news, anyway...I'm confident!
I have to say, in defense of giant American birds, they can be done right.
I soak mine in a salt brine for a day, then air dry it for a day. It's the best thing I've ever tasted...dark meat gets cooked through, and the white meat stays moist.
And I buy the biggest sucker I can find (around 25 pounds) because we usually have 25-30 guests (not because I am so popular, just haven't yet figured out how to expell actual blood relatives in my giant family) and everyone wants to have some leftovers to take home.
We should have a recipe thread closer to the holiday...I'd like to hear people's favorites!
Lots o' love~AA

Happy Thanksgiving Day
Just wanted to wish you the best holiday and waiting to hear soon on your results from the MRI and praying for the best. Hope your Thanksgiving was awesome. I'm going to have a turkey next week, but it's not Thanksgiving yet, we just buy 4 a year and have them throughout the year. The one I buy for Thanksgiving has to be at least 23 pounds. Never had a wild turkey, but bet it was great.
Hugs! Kim

sorry but hang on AA....today is the holiday so all is closed.....have on appt on wednesday.....thanks you!!!
so the scan was good and I am NED supposedly. Remember how we tell one another to dance....after waiting for scan results rather than dance i find myself collapsing into bed in a state of total exhaustion. It takes me a few days to come back to reality....funny times....
so to recap....2005 colon operation.....stage 3B 2006 large liver resection for mets and then chemo and 2008 another liver resection and chemo again....but that gives me 5 years NED at Stage 4 with no hope of survival at one point.....
keep marching kids......hugs....mags

Thanks for posting for everyone here. What an inspiration. I understand your feelings. I have found that good scan results are almost as mentally exhausting as bad results.

Excellent news, Mags! I'm so happy for you. I know what you mean about the post-results collapse...these lengthy waits can be so exhausting. Hopefully you'll be up and dancing once you get a chance to catch your breath!

Excellent
That is wonderful news. It takes me several days for me to decompress also. It's like I'm so worked up over it that it takes me days for it to sink in and then stop worry about every little ache and pain. After you decompress then go do the naked happy dance.

Dear Mags, so very glad to hear your good news.
Rest well, dear. You have worked very hard to be where you are.
May there be many decades of NED in your future.
Hugs,
Marie who loves kitties
