Update

Hi Everyone

I haven't been here for awhile, but thought I would write an update on Jeff.

He is 8 months out of treatment and is doing pretty well. He has had a battle with thrush, which I don't think is completely gone. We see the ENT on Monday and will find out. He is even more froggy and hoarse. His taste was coming back, but the thrush put a stop to that.

We had a very busy summer getting back to work, playing catch up with all the projects we had to put off and all the new projects our customers came up with.  I try to have him take it easy on Sundays and rest, but the phone always rings and someone needs something done.

To those that are new here hang in there and keep putting one foot in front of the other and stick with the treatments. It gets rough but the payoff is worth it. Take the pain meds, sleep and keep trying to eat (actually drink alot of shakes). I burnt out a blender during the 2 months of treatment :)

Thanks to everyone for being here. I would not have made it through without you all.

Much love and prayers for all you new/old and those not yet here

Sue

    Sounds like things

are coming around, Sue.  YEAH!!!  Thrush is a bi*ch, for sure.  It kept creeping back into my life for 3 or 4 months after treatment was over....I just didn't get what exactly triggered it.  I kept acidopholys and thrush meds in the cupboard and the thrush would be gone in a couple of days, only to rear it's head again a week or so later.

Still...he's making great progress....slow and sure.....the only way healing goes in this disease.

    Hi Sue

Great to hear that Jeff is doing well, and may God bless you for being a great and loving caretaker. We may be the ones going through the treatment but none of us could make it with wonderful people like you to help us to the finish line.

    God Bless
