I'm very happy to hear you are doing well! I hope that your scan in November will show that you are still hangin' with NED! I am sending you all positive vibes!
I am so glad youMartha,
I am so glad you are through with the colonoscopies. I know so many people who have had their colons ruptured. Thank goodness, my doctor does not believe in colonscopies---he says colon cancer and anal cancer are not related---or follow up scans. He said I had had enough radiation. I just go for an anascope every 6 months.

MY doctors also did not do colonoscopies for anal cancer and also did not do scans, unless there were symptoms, due to radiatipn exposure. I beleive that is in accordance with NCCN guidelines. Interesting that not all hospitals follow the guidelines. I wonder why?0 -

Thank you! I have come to realize through my conversations with many other anal cancer survivors that doctors are all over the place when it comes to follow-ups.

Belated big timemp327 said:Thank you all!
I am finally awake, well, sort of, thanks to a phone call. I decided to get up and try to accomplish something today other than sleep. I'm having a cup of half-caf right now to help!
Belated big time congratulations on your clean check-up. You have reached the ultimate milestone. So happy for you.
