Early Birthday Wishes, Sue

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUE !!!

I know it's a bit early, but wanted to be the first to wish you a wonderful birthday. Your travel plans sound like so much fun. Enjoy every minute and take in all the beauty around you.

When you are in Calif at your sisters, if you have time, give me a call and maybe we can meet for some coffee and hugs. I'll be back in FL mid Oct.

Anyways, safe travels and just have tons of fun.

I'll be thinking of you...

Love you bunches, Happy Birthday my Libra friend.

Love,

Lisha

I just want to know how many more years Sue is going to be "Almost 60" ?  Since I am currently 57, it is information I have need of !

I am going to wear a party hat all day on Sue's birthday, and hope she has a wonderful one !

    Almost 60

I think a woman could get a lot of mileage out of "almost 60". Much like saying 29 for years, or perhaps 39? I took my dear mother-in-law for a doctor's appointment a few years ago. The doc asked if she knew how old she was. She quickly replied, "Yes, I'm 68".  I would normally never correct her, but since we were at a doctor's visit, I informed her that she was 86. She said, "I am? No wonder I look so old"!

Happy Birthday to a very young, Almost 60, Sue!

    Birthday Cakes

Isn't it amazing how when we get to be our age it is best to have a flat sheet cake so we can fit all the candles on. Just be careful and don't burn the house down. LOL. HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!!    John

PS: Maybe you can contact Greta and they will let you change your name to,"LONG GONE 60"....Just joking.Tongue Out

Hey John, I suppose you are really tight with the fire department in your area :).  Don't they have your birthday on their calendar Surprised ?

Age is just a number and as long as it's increasing, I'm happy for all of us :). I'll be 57 in December and as you have so often pointed out, I haven't forgotten how to use crayons Laughing.

    OH YEA !!!

It's not only on their calendar, but they have a firetruck parked at the end of the driveway for 24 hours on my birthday. Every hour the siren goes off as a check. Around midnight they all wipe their brow and holler, Thank You Lord. LOL

    63..

Thanks everyone! I will be 63 tomorrow...just a "little"over 60...ha! We took off on our trip after diner last night and made it to Brandon South Dakota where we have stopped for the night. We decided what the heck...we love driving at night with less traffic, so we hit the road. Steve said we clocked roughly 1,400 miles in 23 hours.(speed limit is 75 in Montana and S.D) Tomorrow we will take our time and be in Champaign/Urbana by late afternoon. We will do all of our sight seeing after we leave my sisters...right now I just want to get to them.Wink Thanks for the sweet birthday wishes.... I'll be on the road all day. Take care and I'll check back in. Love ya all....Sue

    Road Trip

    Sue,

As a kid, I grew up on the coast, in Charleston, SC.  My father's father was a Kansas wheat farmer, and every year we drove out to central Kansas, and spent about ten days on the farm.  The vacation road trip is a rich part of Americana.  You can see and learn more doing that than in any other manner . Although much has been standardized, there are still wonderful regional differences.   I hope that your trip has been as fascinating and uplifting as our always were.
