My name is Robert Charles McCoy Jr.

I first learned that I had Male Breast Cancer a few days after losing everything to Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

I was only 24 years old at the time of my diagnosis. These days I try to raise awareness about male breast cancer. A few months ago I published a book about my experience.

(Hyperlink removed by CSN community manager.)

I look forward to getting to know you all and hopefully connecting with some more male survivors.

    Welcome Robert.

i have a question for you.  A friends husband is in his fifties now has had one sister pass of breast cancer which was misdiagnosed originally and his other sister now also has breast cancer.  I advised my friend to get her hubby to at least talk to some one about being checked out.  He has not done so as far as I know.  Your thoughts ..........  What type cancer did you have.  Hope you are clear now.

    Welcome Robert,

We have two men with breast cancer who post on this site.  I hope they will come on and post.

Good luck with your book.  It is certainly a topic that needs to have more awareness.

    Best,

    Doris

    Male Breast Cancer

Hello,Robert. I'm very sorry to hear about your problems with Katrina and Cancer in the same year. I think that it is great that you are trying to spread the word about Male Breast Cancer, but I do not think you should try to sell your book on this site! This site is NOT for anyone to try to PROFIT from their illness. I even wonder if you have HAD Breast Cancer TWICE !

I'm sorry that you have been "FLAGGED",but if you had not been, I would have! Iwould have liked to get to know you if you are truly into spreading the "word" and not into "profit".
