Update..
Hello Everyone,
Wanted to check in and give you an update on Kreg. He is coming up quickly to his 1 year anniversary (when tx ended) in November. Hard to believe that it was a year ago in August that we got that dreadful news. But, life has been going well for him. He has been back to all his normal pleasures in life....golf, motorcycle rides, and his endless duties around the house. Little achiness from the neck down into the arm, and a battle of canker sores that keep coming and going...but, not anything we can't handle. The mental part of this whole thing has gotten better with time. He has check up's every 6-8 weeks and although it raises a little anxiety, he walks out with a big sigh of relief. We just look at it as getting our blessing of reassurance every 6-8 weeks.... better than waiting months.
I just want to tell any newbies out there, that this whole process is completely doable. It is a hard journey to get through physically and emotionally but having a good support team, such as this forum, family and friends is vitally important. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Hang in there!
Lots of love and blessings,
Cris

Great news about Kreg's recovery....
I think that sigh of relief after every check up is par for the course....and gives us a sense of well being for another couple months....I'm really going to miss having my ENT looking at me every month. He'll eventually cut me down to every other month, then every 3 or 4 months. Not till the 18 to 24 month leveling period, tho.
You're right it's most certainly doable....and there's a lot of life to get lived out there.

Awesomeness....
Hi you....
Glad you and the ole man are doing great...
I got your email, haven't had a chance to answer yet, as I'm on the road to Ohio today..., but will.
I did see the great photo of you both....
Hey, have Kreg try Abreva for those canker sores, that stuff works wonders... Expensive, a little tiny tube is like $15.., but worth it
Best always,
John

Thank you for posting the update!
Hi Cris, you don't know me...I'm new here. My name is Jamie and my husband was diagnosed with tonsil cancer just this August 2013. The two of us are just starting on this crazy journey together. Thank you for posting this update...it is encouraging to hear that things can and do get better, and that life will go on once we get through this not so fun part of it. I love the picture in my head of us one year out from now enjoying all of the things we have always enjoyed together! Congratulations to you and Kreg on the continued good news!
