Questions
I have been under the care of a hematologists for the past 9 months and have been told to "wait and see, and follow up blood tests every 3 months" I don't have a diagnosis yet, while it has been suggested that T-LGL and T-PLL are 2 possobilities because of my high cd8+ t-cell counts and have been going out of my mind trying to figure out what is going on. Perhaps someone out there has had similar symptoms / lab results. I am 39 years old, male, prior infection with EBV / mononucleosis in March 2010. Lymphocytes have climed from 3800, to 4900 in 9 months over a total of 8 CBC's. They never once went down or stayed the same. In my last 2 blood tests my neutrophil percents are low at 38% while the absolute numbers are still within range, I have an overabundance ( 4 times the high amount) of cd 8+ cytotoxic T cells, slightly elevated CD4+ cells as well. This has been that way for the past 9 months. There was "oligoclonal banding" found when studying the T-cell Beta receptor gene rearrangements. I know polyclonal is good, no sure if oligoclonal means that eventually one clone will become dominant? My iron satuaration percent is extremely low, but all other iron numbers are good. I just about fall asleep at my desk every afternoon, it is a struggle to keep my eyes open. I suffer from chronic infections of respiratory type, and currently am recovering from the flu bug that sent me to the emergency clinic with 103.8 fever. If anyone has any advice or questions that can help, please feel free to message me or post here. Thanks in advance for any help !!
