Lymph nodes near the kidneys?
Prior to surgery (9/17/2013) and abdominal CT scan (9/9/2013) I have been given the designation of a T2N0M0.
How to they test to see if it has spread to lymph nodes? Do they remove a few to test? If so, where are they located? I can't seem to find any on anatomic diagrams. Will they light up on the CT scan tomorrow if positive?
Thanks.

They may be larger on ct than what they should be. That is how they found my husband's. he had a lymph node biopsy that confirmed that it had spread. Here is a link to a diagram to show you where the lymph nodes are located.
