My mom completed chemo/rad a few weeks ago and will be having surgery in mid to late October. I will not be able to be there for her surgery/post surgery and wanted to send her something! I was hoping that some could share what they found helpful or useful during this time. She will be in the hospital for about a week after. Thanks everyone!

    Send her...

...cut flowers for love, a box of chocolate to sweeten her days and a colorful scarf to cheer her up.

While I was recovering, some gifts I appreciated were a very soft blanket, humorous movies, and light reading books.
