Exercise and tumors
I have mets to lungs. It seems if I exercise couple of days before bloods taken my CEA slowly rises. Is there any chance the blood pumping around the body could cause the tumors to grow? I know they say exercise is good but I don't want to be 'feeding' tumors? I just don't know whether to go for it or do little. Sorry I feel weird with this question......

My gut dealing is that some
My gut dealing is that some excercise is beneficial for you. It keeps your body strong, the better circulation take the immune cells where they need to be, it reduces cortisol stress) hormone, takes your mind off things.
It may feed the cancer too, but the benfits way outweigh the negative.
Good luck to you with everything.

Hooley and kennyt,
Do you guys have any symptoms form the lung lesions.
I have never been a hypochondriac, but since my diagnosis and during treatment every little twinge, pain, short of breath scares me about metastases. Back in May my CT and later on a chest x-ray didn't show anything even lymph node involvement, but I became very paranoid. Especially the side effects of radiation and lately the chemo scare me as possible sign of metastases.

my lung mets areHi Laz
my lung mets are secondary from bowel. I did have a real annoying cough 6months ago. Was becoming constant. Onc said the cold air can do that. Pffttt! Saw lung surgeon who can do surgery if they start to grow again and he looked at scans back then and said the larger tumor was close to windpipe! Have been on anti body and tumors are shrinking. Just don't want to become resistant! I've never had radiation just chemo 3 years. Just keep, onto dr if not happy. Take care

How hard are you working out? My understanding is that exercise can cause some inflammation, which may cause a slight rise in cea. Also, cea us not stable. It goes up and down constantly. Your cea taken in the morning could be different than oneAiken after that same day.
Exercise should be helpful, it's keeps you strong and benefits your immune system. It's actually shown to increase white cell counts.
