Dissability Benefits
I have fought against larynx cancer and been out for 3 and 1/2 years, I filed for benefits threw dissabiltiy and qualified, but had to wait for 8 months for my first check, which I nearly lost everything....I have had to fight everyother month for my check, I have an esphogaus the size of a pencil , and cant breath enough oxygen to keep going, tired and get fatigued very fast, i choke, at night up 6 to 8 times to the bathroom, and everytime i exert energy, or work in the heat i go down, become dizzy and gasping for air, the doctors both of them stated i was over raditated, and was given the best they could do, since i was accidently hacked on by a specoalist that cut into the tumor and then sent to me to another doctor where they found stage 3 tumor...they put me on anti deppressents, my throat still is raw, and i USE hYdros to eat, and deal with the lockinp up, i lost my marrige do to infediltiy, before i was hit with cancer, and recently divorced, now I'm selling thehouse to start a new life, dissability doesnt pay alot, but downsizing i still might live. now disability wants me to go threw mental docotrs to continue my dissability, what the hell more does the system want!...each cancer is different, I am not going to function normal like I USE to, cancer took it's toll, how do i get dissability off my back, the docotrs have sent all info in, but they keep sending me other forms and have no relation to the cancer, hell yes I'm depressed..wouldn't you be?...Thanks for Listening Dennis

Dennis, i don't know anything
Dennis, i don't know anything about disability benefits but it sounds like you're going through an administrative nightmare. I'M SO SORRY! You've been through alot. You must be one of the strongest fighters i know to go through this much hell w/ everything and still pushing forward. I'm only a caregiver so I won't even pretend what you're going through. The only thing I do when everything gets too much for me is tell myself get through five minutes at a time until I get through the day. Stay strong

its a nightmare trying to get my life back on course....dissability is part of the reason of depression, if one would listen to me or could understand me on the phone, Drs. Letters fall on deaf ears in Administration, but to hear me struggle to talk and breath....a nightmare, Cancer really beat me. I continue to fight...Thanks Heeran..Dennis
