Peripheral neuropathy treatments

I came across this website http://www.peripheralneuropathytreatments.com while researching magnetic bracelets / anklets.

They are selling this expensive ($759+) gadget called "The Rebuilder", that claims to cure 95%, reverse or at least reduce pain caused by neuropathy.

They are also selling the Magnet Therapy Kit that supposedly heals everything from bee stings to tumors. 

Has anyone tried these things? Do they really work or is it just another gimmick?

    I don't know about this, but to me it looks like a "do-it-yourself-electrocution-kit".  Think I'll pass!  This maybe like the "magnitic"bracelet my husband bought for me to help my balance since I kept falling.  They were 39.95 then, now you can get one for 5.00 at the 7to11!  Debra

    WHO CAN SAY FOR SURE

    Sure is pricey, but I suppose if it worked it would be worth it, right?  It looks pretty scarey, but then so did this unit we bought for our daugther.  She has hyperhidrosis and there is a unit called 'Drionic'.  It is battery operated.  You soak these cotton pads in water, then place your hands on the pads and turn it on.  It sends mini 'electrical impulses' to the hands (or feet if you wish) to stop the sweat glands from producing.  You have to do it several times to see results, and periodically to keep up the benefits.  But I must say, it worked for our daugther and she was a real trooper and tolerated the 'stinging' sensation.   It worked so well that it actually dried out her hands too much, so she backed off on the treatments. 

    There's so much out there.  The hyperbaric chambers are really being used lately.  I can honestly see the benefits on that one.

    The research RN at my clinical trial gave me a handout that suggests the following for neuropathy:

    10mg l-glutamine powder (not capsules) 3X a day for four days beginning 24 hours after chemo

    100mg Vitamin B complex time release 3X daily

     

    This is easy to do and I'm trying it while on weekly Taxol. So far (3 treatments in) no neuropathy. But it's early days yet.

    Alexandra I got so excited when I saw this post, my mom had neuropathy in both her feet and we're lucky enough to have a dr in this area who uses the re-builder and insurance covered so many visits, but her feet are about 80% better! So yes it really works, but wow that is pricey!
