Mayo tomorrow

I am flying to Mayo tomorrow for blood tests and MRI and then we meet with the team on Friday. Praying they can offer options. Physically, I feel good but this has been overwhelming. A flurry of phone calls and gathering records, pathology slides, etc. Met with lawyer today to get my affairs in order, something we should have done years ago.
Records also sent to MDAnderson in case proton therapy turns out to be an option.
Getting scared. Prayers please.

Had MRI yesterday and then met with doc 3 hours this morning. Late this afternoon we met with surgeon but he felt surgery risks too great. Discussions leading toward more chemo and some type of radiaition. If it turns out to be proton therapy, Mayo will arrange it with IU or MDAnderson. We go back Monday to meet with the radiologist and then Tuesday I will have a CAT guided biopsy. It looks like a duck, walks like a duck and they are pretty positive it is a duck but want the biopsy to be 100% that it is mets. Alternative dx that tends more to locate in this area also difficult to treat. Wishing they could have arranged both in one day but that wasn't possible. Flight takes just a little over an hour. Everyone seemed quite surprised at my otherwise very good health and said how beneficial it will be. Thanks to everyone for their well wishes. It means allot.
Hugs!

I am so sorry that things are not going better. I just now said a prayer for you. May you find the peace and strength you need to get you through this weekend and the coming days ahead.
