Sugar and Stevia

I am guessing I am one of many worried about their sugar intake while living with cancer. Anyone know if stevia really contains no sugar? But does the brain still process it as a sugar? I know diet soda is still processed as a sugar and can still affect diebetics.

I love my coffee blonde and sweet (just like me!) and am dabbling with variations.
