Sarcomatoid Features: not identified

Tumor Necrosis: not identified

Histological Grade (Fuhrman Nuclear Grade): G2: nuclei slightly irregular, approximately 15 um; nucleoli evident

Microscopic Tumor Extension: tumor limited to kidney; tumor extension into renal sinus

Margins: margins uninvolved by invasive carcinoma 

lymph-vascular invasion: not identified

patholgy staging (TNM)

-primary tumor (pT): pT3a: Tumor grossly extends into the renal vein or it's segmental (muscle containing) branches

regional lymph nodes (pN): no nodes submitted or found

distant metastasis (pM): not applicable

Pathological Findings in Non-neoplasticism Kidney - significant pathological alterations: benign cyst with no epithelial lining.

* immunohistochemical stains are pending to confirm the diagnosis of Chromophobe Renal Cell Carcinoma.  Results will follow.
