Dysplasia Treatment Successful
Hi all,
Just to let you know everything went well at my post op appointment at hospital yesterday.
The biopsy's they did after the laser treatment came back "moderate dysplasia" so no worse than the origonal biopsy - No evidence of carcinoma-in-situ - So the final and definative verdict is that I didn't have cancer .
They think my mouth is looking great (I knew this anyway - Has suddenly got better in the past 10 days) and this should be the end of treatment.
Just a case of close monitoring now for the next 4-5 years - My next appointment is in 4 months. Then it'll be six months, 12 months, etc...
Thanks to all for your help and advice over the past few months.
The kindness you've all shown me, at a time when your all going through your own troubles - much more serious troubles than my trivial stuff I might add - Has been amazing.
I'll always be grateful and whilst this will probably be my last post here I'll always keep you guys in mind and will check on your progress from time to time.
Thanks once again all
Regards
Gav

Question
First of all, good report. That's great. How will they examine you? Special stains like toluidine blue? Pap smears? Just curious.

Glad to hear
that it turned out well and that they will keep a close eye on you! Stick around, no reason to leave the CSN family.

LTS, they have't said, but I think it'll just be a case of closely watching whether any more white spots appear and if they do, further biopsying and removal.
