Strange things happening - Wondering if anyone has ever had this problem Duodenal Polyps
At age 33 5 years ago, I was diagnosed with Colon Cancer, and extremely lucky enough to be able to have them do a partial collectomy with no further treatment but a regular colonoscopy.
After I got out of the hospital my oncologist recommended I go for a Upper GI where they found that I have thousands of polyps throughout my entire intestinal track, but they told me that as long as I didnt have any in the Duodenal that I would be ok, and we could manage it.
This year they delivered the news that there was a concerning polyp in the Duodenal along with the pancreas and bile duct that had showed some cell movement. My current gastro doctor referred me to the mayo clinic in scottsdale.
In two weeks I am going for an ultrasound guided resection of the Duodenal polyp.
Has anyone ever had this procedure, if so how bad is it?. Also curious if anyone has ever had the issue with polyps everywhere.
Thanks in advance.
