Kathi: I was wondering about that-prior to my appt -hearing many staying on 7-9 yrs...how did you decide? or did you Dr just tell you that you should stay on it longer.
I did have to have total hysterctomy 2 yrs ago due to very enlarged uterus.

Please do all you can to avoid a recurrence. Usually they offer 2-3 years of an Aromatase Inhibitor. You don't want a recurrence.
Do give this option of continuing on with some protection.
Best,
Doris

Denise, I am so glad that you
Denise, I am so glad that you are coming to the end of your Tamoxifen days. But given the new research on how Tamoxifen could help women from getting recurrences better if taken for 10 years, have you discussed this with your oncologist?
I have been reading about that quite frequently as of late.
Please talk to your oncologist about this. Although we don't know what lies ahead, I would want everyone to do everything thing they think is possible to ward off more breast cancer.
Let us know what you think!
