Neuropathy - The Sequel

I hope Steve continues to do well on Folfox. I finished my 12 treatments in December 2012. The first treatment was the worst. Nausea, vomiting, unable to eat. From the 2nd treatment on I had dex, zofran, amend and things were a lot better. I had the cold sensitivity but mostly opening the fridge and drinking cold stuff. I couldn't drink cold stuff the first 7 days after oxy then the next week I could. I love my cold stuff, that was hard. The neuropathy wasn't bad for me during treatment but seem to kick in after December in my feet. My feet tingle and feel like they are sleeping all the time.
I definitely would choose vacation vs party. My husband and twin boys and I just got back from Amsterdam, Paris, and a 7 day cruise to Norway. I would not have spent that money if I didn't have stage IV cancer. We made memories that can never be taken away from my 15 year old boys. My husband and I were talking about my daughters wedding 2 years ago and the wedding that lasted 4-5 hours cost the same as our 2 week trip! The trip was much better! Hope Steve is feeling better !

Steve has had two
Hi Sandy,
Steve has had two treatments now. No cold sensitivity, no tingling etc... He has always tolerated the chemo well. I just hope it works. He is experiencing symptoms from the cancer (liver). No appetite, major fatigue. I am hoping these symptoms will diminish once the chemo starts shrinking tumors.
So happy that you guys had a nice trip. Stage four cancer certainly puts things into perspective. We have done things over the past two years that we would have put off if not for the illness.
