Elisabeth Ann “Beth” Hime, age 49, of Paola passed away at Olathe Medical Center, Tuesday, May 14th, 2013.

Beth was born on April 11th, 1964 in Denver, Colorado to Richard Griswold and Delores Harrison. She was married to James “Jim” Hime on September 3rd, 1994 in Lawrence, Kansas. Beth has spent most of her married life in Paola, Kansas and worked as a Customer Service Representative at Gill Studios in Lenexa, Kansas.

Beth was diagnosed with cancer in April of 2006, and had been bravely fighting the battle. She enjoyed gardening, reading, spending time with her cats and dogs, but above all else loved being with her family.
Beth was preceded in death by her mother, Delores Harrison, and her brother, James A. Griswold.

Surviving family members are her husband, Jim Hime of Paola; her father, Richard Griswold and step-mother, Sharon Griswold of Springfield, Missouri; her sister, Mary Griswold Mahaney of Austin, Texas; her brother, Thomas Griswold of Virginia Beach, Virginia, niece Kimberly Griswold and nephew Brian Griswold; her daughter “adopted by love”, Alexandra Chesney of Olathe, Kansas; and her nieces, Kristen Mahaney of Austin, Texas, Kristi Edgar and Kaleena Musick of Eudora, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Cancer Society Hope Lodge of Kansas City and/or the Miami County Cancer Foundation, Inc.
