One year later and life will forever be seen with more loving and admiring eyes
It was one year ago today I walked into the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at MCV hospital in Richmond VA. I was walking into the ring where the prize was to live the life I was given. I was scared, unsure, and vulnerable to everything surrounding me. Yet through the pain came a joy and happiness I will always remember and can keep so very close to me. 100 days after the transplant I heard those beautiful words that will forever resound in my mind, "You have no evidence of any cancer." Such a short sentence that embodies so much strength and assurance. I am living my life and loving it in a way that only can be done because of the path that my life took over the last year. My advice to anyone about to go through this "bump in the road" is simple. Fight like you have never fought before, you never know who you will inspire along the way!
Thank you all for your love and prayers, we won this together!

Hugs and gratitude,

We are so happy for you Coachmike. Such wonderful news. You sound ecstatic, we know you are. This is going to be so good for Liana, Kyle and Michelle, and Nate, (we worry so much about him). And whoever else I am forgetting, forgive me. They all need to hear the positives. Thank you for sharing and all your wisdom, we need it.
Thinking of you, Bill & Becky

Hi Mike
Hi Mike,
Yes life is good! I'm also living life with another feel to it...I don't know how to explain it, but with everything that I have been through and you as well, it's like I don't want to waste any time on little things that don't really matter anymore! Just want to enjoy life with my hubby and kids! Hope you understand what I tried to say, sometimes it's so hard to express myself with the right words MANY HUGS TO YOU and EVERYBODY HERE!!!
Sincerely,
Liz

Congrats on making it to the ring to get your prize! It takes a champion and a warrior to fight and make it through all the rounds to earn the prize.
