    Scan came back with issues

    friends,

my scan came back with issues in several lymph nodes and so i will be returning to MDA in a month for ultrasound and needle biopsy if positive.  Then i will have surgery to remove a 17mm node on the right side of my neck.  Not exactly what I wanted to hear but the rad doctor was very positive as she said this would be the last step in dealing with the issue. If I need surgery when I return.  Still a little bummed!

    Thanks for through and prayers!

    Jon

    Dang!

    Hi Jon,

Sorry to hear they found additional issues but at least it was encouraging that the Drs' were positive about it.

Positive thoughts and prayers that this will be the last step. Keep your chin up!

    Good hands

    Jon,

Not the best news but it seems like you are very capable hands and things look positive. Try to view it as just one of those things to deal with along the road and nothing that is going to cause the car to derail or spin out. You got lots of good momentum. Hang in there. don

    It Happens...

I would tend to say it could be residual, but if it's specific nodes, probably likely a dissesction will take place, and then further scans... No real unusual, and a lot of times takes care of the lit nodes...

    Thoughts & Prayers..
