CA125 Result
Hi All
Reporting in with my recent results. Disappointingly my CA125 test this time has risen from 423 to 449 so about 6%. Not great but better than previous three which have risen by 25-30% each. My Oncologist says to take this as a positive so that I am doing! I am continuing the same chemo regime (topotecan Days 1, 2 & 3 then day 21 etc) so had treatment yesterday, today and again tomorrow. I have everything crossed that I will get an actual drop in 3 weeks!! My neutophils are pretty low so keeping myself safe and will no doubt spend a fair bit of time on the couch! I would love to clean out my wardrobe but that might have to wait. Maybe I could just do a small section each day - will try that.

CA 125
Hi Julie,
I hope your CA125's drop. It seems like you are having a very positive outlook. I have been having problems with that lately. I go tomorrow to see what the doctors are going to recommend for my treatment. Take chemo now or monitor me and wait. Since I have cancer cells in my adbdomen I don't know why I should wait. what do you think Julie? What would all you other ladies do? Thanks!

Think I would probably want to attack! But then that depends on how you think you can handle the chemo too! I wish you well in your decisionmaking! Whatever you choose will be right for you!!

Thank you AlexandraAlexandra said:Dear Julie
I hope your CA125 will get over the hump and start dropping. I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you.
I can't get over how great you look with the new hair!
Hugs and best wishes,
Alexandra
I really appreciate your support. Your hair is looking great too! So beautifully dark! Mine used to be like that ....... once upon a time! The curls arent easy to control but I'm not complaining! I am getting used to the grey - experimenting with flashes of colour with hair chalk which is fun and shocks a few people!!

Hi Julie,
Well the turmor board decided the best treatment would be to take the chemo now. They are going to treat me with carboplatin which is one of the drugs that I had the first time. Since I responded so well to it they are gong to start off with the carbo. I will receive 4 aggressive treatment then they will do a the blood work plus a CT scan. The Dr. don't think I will lose my hair but we will see. Thanks for the kind words, Julie. I hope you are doing well.
