Scan Results 6/3/2013
I was scheduled to see my med onc this afternoon to discuss the results of Monday's CT scan. Since I was picking up discs and copies of the reports from the 1/30/13 scan and also Monday's scan at the hospital prior to this appt., I looked at the dictated report and this was the impression: “No evidence of metastatic disease in the chest, abdomen and pelvis.” Whew! While I was phoning my husband to give him the good news, I received a message from the oncologist's office to call them. I was told that my doctor had seen my results and since it was all good, there was no need to see me! So, they cancelled today's appt. and I am to call and schedule one for 6 months. Could it be that this was my last scan? I certainly hope so!

Martha....
Thats just WONDERFUL !!!!!!! It is so encouraging to hear the success stories of others and gives hope for us all to "live long and prosper." I have wondered how I would feel if I had no more scans scheduled.....right now I'm still at the point of "need to know" so will continue for a while. Maybe at 4-5 yrs I will be happy to be done also. Congratulations to you, and thank you for your inspiration and support to us all.

That is just fantastic. I
That is just fantastic. I really hope that is your last scan. How amazing will that be? I had a PET scan in April that showed the scar tissue shrinking and only having an SUV of 4.4 which I thought was such good news after the one I had in December which showed an SUV of 6.6 in that area. Hoping the next scan in October will just as good.

Woohoo! Fantastic news! I have scan tomorrow... MRI. Hoping that lymph node that was unresponsive to treatment, but no different to intial scan doesn't bring unwanted news....... Aren't these times scary?
