Hi
I have read the pamphlets of my anti-nausea medications and found that bloating and constipation are 2 of their side effects. I have suffered from both side effects and my constipation was so bad and caused horrible pain. I guess if we have to stop our nausea we have to pay a price. Try to move around more that helps a little, things will get better after the first week of chemo when you stop the nausea medications.
I hope that helps, take care.

Gas
I didn't take anti-nausea meds long, because of the severe constipation. Even something like Delcolax (sp) didn't help.
Plus, I had, throughout chemo, what I call "old man farts." I would fart when I walked, just like my dad. Laughable around family, embarrassing around strangers. They went away after chemo, thankfully.
Good luck, Cindy

Ohh, I hated that feeling!
I remember having that! YUK! I got some relief with Gas-X. Once the pain got so bad, out of desperation, I drank that pre surgery magnesium citrate stuff. That REALLY helped. Of course you shouldn't do that without your Dr's OK. Seem like I took Zantac like my dr recommended and had good luck with that on my less desperate days. But I had to stay on it for a week after chemo, not just take it when I was miserable.
