My mom just passed away from Stage IV

Hi all, 

I just wanted to say I hate cancer and I hate what it does to our love ones... with that said, my mother of 66 years just passed away on May 26,2013 sunday orning at 8:49 am. She was diagnosed with stage IV October 15,2012 , I moved her and my father out west to get the much needed medical care. She barely made on November 13,2012 she arrived and was rushed to the hospital with in the next two days of arriving, where that immediately started chemo- she did folfox with avastin, she did great for six months she was doing well. Then the end of march  on her 8th treatment, something changed and she got really sick, so we stopped the chemo. She was full of cancer all through her stomach and lympnodes, she had blood clots  and her lung and stomach filled up with fluid. They had to drain both. she passed within two days of having the ascites.I miss her so much..:( . I really hope they find a cure soon  I never want to ee anyone go through that much pain ever again, relative or not .. weith all my love to all out there.. God Bless.

    I am so very sorry Tina, you have my deepest condolences.  I know that you took excellent care of your Mom, and I'm sure that she passed knowing that you loved her very much.

    I'm very sorry you have to go through all the pain.I agree with you,I HATE CANCER!I would not wish it on my worst enemy.If you need to vent,we are here.Good luck.

    You have my sincerest sympathy, I a so sorry that through this horrible disease called cancer that you lost your mother

    I know she knew of your love for her and that she didn't want to leave you alone, but she didn't have a choice.

    I'm sorry for your loss.  It's a terrible disease that makes all sad.  You are welcome on this board still.  May you find comfort in knowing the love that you both shared.

    I am very sorry for your loss.  You made a heroic effort to bring your Mom out West to get the treatment that may have made the difference.  

    Please accept my hope for a future of fond memories and release from the sorrow you must now feel.

    I am so sorry for your loss. I believe that no good mother should die.  My mum has been gone for many years now, and my 'Bert' dad, a couple of years. Very few days go by when I don't think of them.  

    You mum fought the battle, and I am sorry that her last days were pain filled.

    I'm sure your mum felt your love to the very end. 

     I pray for you and your dad, that in time, comfort and good memories will fill your life.

    I'm very sorry to hear Tina that your Mommy has left. But think of htis way: this is the BEST for her! And I will make sure my Mom looks around for her up there! :) And pleas, BE STRONG!!!

    Know you did the best for your mom. I hate the little c and refuse to call it the big C.
    It is so hard on loved ones and we as patients. Even with all the support it is so trying.
    She will be in peace now.

    So sorry Tina about your loss, it is so difficult to stand by and not being able to do something. Difficult to see the suffering of people you love so much, you did all you could.

    I am so very sorry.  I too lost my mom to colon cancer 5-5-06, not a day goes by that I do not think of her.  I have lost my grandma to it as well, not to mention my own journey with it.  stay well, prayers to you and yours.
