Well, apparently I flunked entry into the phase one clinical trial.   I always thought of myself as an over-achiever but apparently when it comes to growing metastatic cancer, I am an under performer!   Yep, after having a MRI of the head, MRI of the abdominal, MRI of the pelvic region, CT of the chest, a Chest x-ray, EKG and ECHO along with a gallon of blood drawn I don't have enough cancer or its not growing fast enough to qualify!    So on bended knee and a grateful heart I give praise to the Lord and am thankful for this reprieve.

My ONC is Dr. McDermott; if you interested in getting into this trial, my spot just opened up an hour ago.  Hope someone in our group gets the slot.

Mike

    Wow - speechless here

Mike - I'm glad you decided to take a break from  over-achiever status, but what's next? Return to Votrient? Sounds like Votrient--along with your faith--worked a miracle on you!

    I am going to wait

We discussed going back on the Votrient (it worked well for me), I even have a 3 week supply from January sitting in stock at home.     But, I am going to wait till the next scan and see what happens.    Dr. McDermott suggested to wait, I feel fantastic, working full time, running and have cleaned up my diet.   I know RCC is unpredictable but since I haven't had any therapy since late January my own immune system seems to be holding things steady.    Thankful.
