Hello fellow AT hiker!
That is wonderful news. Unfortunately I did not make it to 3 years before the **** came back. My first Back on the AT hike after surgery was in June 2010 and was probably the best trip I have done in my 30+ years of hiking. I have not done the entire Trail but have thoroughly enjoyed over 500 miles in New Hampshire, Virginia, N.C. Tennessee, Ga? Maybe our paths will cross one day. Congrats again and happy hiking!

Thanks
I love posts like this, thanks for sharing Skyhawk, and good luck with the work. I've a bit to go before I chalk up 5 years, although I've tried to cram 5 years into the last 12 months ...e.g. swimming in the South China Sea on Christmas day, New Years in Hanoi, Old Trafford to watch Man Utd, golf in Troon and Old Prestwick where the first ever mjor was held, scottish highlands, sicilian beaches, climbing up Mt Etna this Saturday (fingers crossed is won't erupt ... even if it would be a spectacular sendoff). Anyway, sorry to be going on but I think cramming as much in as body will allow between treatments, is good medecine in itself. It's too easy to forget that there remains a life to be lived.
