any of this sound familiar?
Hi, I am new here. I am having terrible stomach trouble that none of my doctors seem to know what it is. I thought I would post here to see if my symptoms sound familar to anyone.
I have had stomach trouble for 8 years, since my gallbladder was taken out. Over the past 2 years, it seems to have gotten worse, and over the past 2 weeks, the pain and nausea has been terrible. I was sent to two specialists by my family doctor. The first did an EGD, colonoscopy, and EGD with pill camera. He said he didn't see anything troublesome, though apparently I hadn't been cleaned out enough for the pill camera to see through my small intestines. The second specialist I went to did nothing but tell me it was IBS. I am going to a third specialist on Thursday; he is going to do another EGD. I just need to know if I need to ask him additional questions or if the EGD will be enough to tell what's going on.
My symptoms are basically that I get nauseated every time I eat something no matter what it is (though some foods are worse than others), and sometimes vomit because of the nausea. I get quite terrible pain across my stomach and a burning in my stomach. Also, after I eat and get nauseated, if I walk, it makes it worse and will greatly increase my chances of vomiting. I have not had any blood in my stools or vomit. I am SICK of this run-around and want to find out what it is! Also, none of the stomach medicines (Pepto-Bismol, Phenergen, Bentyl, Prilosec, etc.) work.
If anyone can identify with me or explain to me what is going on, it would be GREATLY appreciated! I thank you for taking the time to read this, knowing that it is quite long. Please ask any questions. Thank you!
