Here I go again it seems waiting for results.

in Gynecological Cancers (other than ovarian and uterine) #1

Been in a some pain which is  slowly  progressing  had  some weird   BP  issues  my  GP thought  I had   high  BP  then when I went on a  24  hour  monitor  it was  normal.  My Specialist wished to do a   CT scann as I  had  not  had one for a while  and now I  wait to find  out whats  what .

I  know  I  don;t  feel  to  great  am  tired  its  hard to lay  down  cause  my  right side lower back is so painful I am on pain releif  but  its  not  working at all .  Back to GP  tomorrow  to  sort  that .  I will  go  next week on wednesday for  my results  of  ct scann.  Was  told  to go to emergency if  I   feel any  worse. Am not actually sick its  just  the

pain  is   realy   driving me  nuts.  Am  scared  I  know I am  strong enough to have  chamo and  radiation again but   am  worried I  know  people  here  can understand  that.

I was  diagnoised  papilary serious carsonoma cervic stage 4b 1st April 2011

had  radiation  and  chemo  then  brachy  theraphy  in 2011

Surgery in late 2011 tubes and ovaries  removed they  found ovarian  cancer stage 3

Chemo for Ovarian cancer 2012 

late 2012  diagnoised  stable and  undercontrol

    I'm so sorry that you are

    I'm so sorry that you are experiencing this kind of pain.  I hope they find out the problem quickly and get you back to feeling good again.  You have really been through a lot.  I hope that there is an explanation for your pain that is not cancer.  Hang in there.  Hugs.

    yes its  cancer  just  found out a  6.5 cm mass on right  kidney .  Now to see speialist next week and  hopefully a  plan  surely  somethin can be  done  I am  healthy  (  except for cancer )  and I cope  with  chemo and  radiation well  enough. I  don;t  know what   they do when  the  cancer spreads  like  this  its  been 2  years now .........

    I'm so sorryDonna.  I was  really hoping for better news.  Perhaps they will be able to remove the tumor surgically since there is only one.  I certainly hope they can get your pain under control.  Hugs and prayers sent your way.  Letis know your treatment plan and how you are doing.  Hugs.

    Chemo again

    The  start  chemo tomorrow  and will  put  in  a stint for  draining  the   kidney  the  tumour is   wrapped  around  urethea  so  they  do not wish to operate  its  closer to bladder than  the  kidney apparently   the kidney is  fine and  they don;t wish to mess with  it .I have  alot  fo damage  from  chemo and  radiation  so  surgery is not an option at  this  moment  ..........so  chemo  :)  and   fight  on  !!!

    So good to hear from you.  What cocktail will they have you on.  Also, look into the whole new nano knife thing they have out there.  It is used for tumors that can not be operated onbecause they are too close to organ/blood vessels, ect., that they also can not use conventional radiation for.  They electrocute the little suckers instead.  I pray the best comes to you.  Stay strong and fight on.  You WILL get through this.  Gods speed.

    They got me on  Liposomal Doxorubicin and Carboplatin .....  also  my ca 125  had  dropped to  165 I  wonder if  my   own  immune system if  fighting  back ? .  The  chemo  nurses were happy  to see me  kinda ...  if  you know what I mean  they are allways so nice. I  go for  surgery  tomorrow  a  stint  in  urethea  and they will clean calification from bladder and  check  that. The  chemo was  ok  it  was  pink ? never had  pink chemo  before which was   weird . I  feel  ok   lots of  meds  and also   they   have  me on better  pain management.  So all is  good  ... am staying  strong   ...  :)

    I am glad you are staying strong.  I have never had doxil but have had plenty carboplatin.  Is this recurrence that of cervical origin or ovarian?  Did they biopsy or are they guessing?  Good luck to you.  Hugs.

    More Surgery

    I think  they are  just assuming  its   ovarian based  . I  know  am  hopeing it  is  of  course . I had  surgery  for  stint yesterday but  they  could not  put it in cause if a  large  3 cm kidney  stone . So  they lasered  the  stone and  now I have  to  go back for  a  stint   to  be  put  in keyhole through kidney the  bladder was a bit messy and  they could not find where  urethea  was  apparently   anyways  this should  go well I  hope  and will just  be  day  surgery again  ... am  feeling ok  just sore and  tired  :)  hugs back to you also  xox

    Have had  stint in  now and  have  had  second   round of  chemo  ,  it  went  well  and  am  home my  ca  125  has  dropped  from 188  to 139 

    am  realy happy  about  that  .........everything seems  to be  back on track now . Has anyone  else  had  sucess  with   this   type of  chemo for   getting  rid  of   the spread of   ovarian  cancer  ?  I was  wondering   .........hugs  Donna  xox
