First scan results today
Hi All,
It's been awhile since I've posted but I do read. I had my 90 day post tx scan(MRI brain and mandible\jaw area) last Monday and today I have a 3:00pm with my onc doctor to go over results. I did not sleep at all last night. I have never felt this kind of anxiety in my life. I never call in to work sick, but I did today. Just wasn't feeling it, ya know?
I'm at a loss for words right now but will update when I get back from appointment.
Luke Sandzik
One thing I found funny. My jaw and mouth area took 50 min to scan and my brain took only 25 min to scan.

Hello Luke !
It's good to hear from you ! Do you ever use an anti-anxiety med ? I've also tried a benedryl the night before scans or appointments that made me not sleep. I will be praying for excellant results on the scan....but remember some hot spots or scarring may show up early on. Please keep us posted. I could very easily make a remark on the time limits you posted but won't......kinda left yourself open there guy...lol ! Best to you ! Katie

Rad Onc Dr. said nothing abnormal. No evidence of disease. No local trouble and no mets in brain. He will see me in 6 months. I have an appointment with ENT\Surgeon in Aug and will have a CT of chest and abdoman prior to that appointment.
I am sure to get some rest tonight.
Luke

The first one is the scariest...
I was heart in throat for two days on my first post treatment scan. When they told me it was clear, my knees just about gave out, and I started to cry. Like you, I've never felt that kind of anxiety in my life...not even when I was waiting for the diagnosis.
YEAHHHHHH on the NED....my very favorite words!!
