(Cervical cancer) Oxaliplatin-down for the count
Second infusion of Oxaliplatin was the one that sparked another allergic reaction. No more platinum for me. Managed to get in four rounds of preposed six rounds, though the second round was mostly only gemzar and not platinum. I hope it was enough to do the trick. Oxaliplatin had me wheezing and coughing and turning red and itchy, having trouble swallowing-a complete mess. Lots of steriods and benadryl did the trick so I am home recovering. Praying for a miracle, hopeing it was enough to get any remaining micrometastasis lingering in my body. Fourth round and down for the count. Suppose I will be concentrating on alternative treatments for a while. Will have a pet/ct soon to see where I stand against the horrible disease. Prayers and hugs for all my warrior sisters.
