Finding conflicting info on treatment - surgery... Clear margins dont always mean cancer free.

i had surgery, now going through chemo and then radiation 5 days a week for 5 months.

Not a lot of info out there on this type of cancer.  Would like advise, and to hear from those who have had this cancer and survived and thoughts on effectiveness of chemo and radiation treatments.  Have read they are not effective?
