Gliadel wafer, infused with carmustine for LC mets to the brain

First of all...Thanx to all !! 

 

 I know you at least... and if you have family involved, they are going throught the crap to .

 

Long story short, the doc's want to use Gliadel Wafers on brain mets, infused with carmustine chemo... after brain surgery . This will be the 3rd time...in lieu of the Autolitt device.

 

Has anyone dealt with this Wafer??

    Great to hear from you old friend

    It is so good to hear you are still kicking.  This is a link to an NIH pubmed article that you may have already read. The abstract anyhow.  It looks promising and you doc seems to be making good choices for you.  Median extension is 20 more good months, by that time they may have a cure.  I'm going to see if I can find Greg Pawelski has written anything on this.  he does great research.  Check back.  

    As for me, I just had a great six month ct report.  Getting ready to schedule another kyphoplasty.
