Test are back

You are NOT wrong in thinking your doctor should be paying
more attention to your complaints.
You were told you had large mass in the wall of the colon that was confirmed as not cancerous through a biopsy ... did your doctor tell you what the large mass was?
The fact that your doctor told you to come back in two years even though you are in pain is very concerning to me. You deserve to have a doctor who will listen to you when you say that you are in pain and try to help you. I think you should try to find another doctor if you can. Are you limited in switching doctors because of some medical insurance issues or travel complications? Is this a primary care physician who ordered the biopsy and is passing on to you the test results?
Do you have a friend or family member who accompanies you to your doctor visits? So much happens sometimes in a doctor visit that we often leave puzzled and unsatisfied because a great deal of information is passed on in a brief period of time.
I understand that you have relief that the doctor said that the large mass was not cancerous, but I really think you need a second opinion to determine what is going on and why you have so much pain.
I am so pleased that you have an opportunity to speak with your oncologist tomorrow about your situation. Before you speak with her ... perhaps try writing down all your questions and then go over them with her one-by-one. Be sure that your questions and concerns are answered.
You have had a challenging time lately with the pain, the tests, and the waiting for the test results ... we are here for you to provide support.
Best to you in your conversation tomorrow with your oncologist. -- Cynthia

I'd see a surgeon
No matter what his biopsy said, since he was unable to remove the whole mass and TEST the whole mass, I'd opt for a resection to have this removed. Find a good surgeon and go in for a chat.
Best of luck!

Most definitely
I would most definitely get myself a new Doctor.
I'd be pusing for the surgery, even though surgery isn't the best, to get rid of a large mass, cancerous or not, seems like it would bring your great releif.
Good luck as you go forward. I wish you less pain, but really hope that you find a better, more thourough Doctor.

Hi
I’m glad to hear that you made plans to talk to your oncologist and that you’re getting rid of that GI doctor. May I also suggest that you seek out a consult with a reputable colorectal surgeon. Like you, a large mass (softball size) was found during my colonoscopy. Biopsy of a golf ball sized sample showed no cancer. My GI doctor forewarned me that just because cancer was not found in the sample does not mean that there is no cancer. He explained that cancer could be growing underneath the sample he took. Cancer or no cancer, surgery was a must. The biopsy after surgery determined it was cancer. I was diagnosed with stage 2,T3 NoMo Grade 2 Adenocarcinoma of the rectum . My tumor was almost through the rectum wall. I don’t want to even think of what the consequences may have been if my GI doctor told me to just hang in there until it got worse. Oh, that gets me mad. I am currently NED. I encourage you to go for a second or even third opinion. My thoughts are with you. I hope it turns out you are the 1 in 10 without cancer.

I had a tumor the size of a fist blocking my entire colon, with mets. .... Stage 1V colon cancer. Don't want to scare you, but path. can come back and be wrong, it was in my case. They didn't know what it was till I had surgery, they figured it was ovarian cancer blocking my colon ..... nope colon cancer spread to my ovaries. Get to another doctor who will investigate this further, before it spreads ..... just my two cents!!!!
