In the hospital AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!
(Needing to vent...) So as of Monday when I started FUDR. It has been absolute helllllll! I'm so angry because they told me I would have very "MINIMAL" side effects. Soooooo not the case. I guess its's because everyone is different, but I've had severe, severe, severe nausea, vomiting, excrutiating bone and joint pain, and over all just drained and "ick" feeling. In the last 24 hours I've been to the ER twice I had to vet a shot each time to kick the bone pain and nausea and right now I just finished an ebolus of fluids. Ohio State James Arther Cancer Center wants me to come over there and be admitted for pain management but they are 2 1/2 hours from me, but my docs. here in town just got me fixed up, so let me get back with you guys later when I can stop dosing off. LOL!
Peace My Friends! Stay Strong! We Can All Do This Together With Eachother's Support! Talk To You Soon My Fellow Warriors!

So sorry. Nausea is the worst side effect. Praying you'll be better soon.

I hope you're feeling better!
I was told when I started chemo that side effects were usually "manageable" and that many people worked through treatment. In my case, that was completely off-base. I was so sick...have never felt so bad in my life. One of the things that helped me (in case you're still having problems) was to take Ativan for the nausea (2 mg 3x per day). It's not what they usually give you, but I tried it on the suggestion of an expererienced oncology nurse, and for me it was way more effective than the more typical medications. Keep us posted on how you're doing, and I'm sending some big hugs your way~AA

(Hugs). Get some rest while you can. i hope they are giving you enough pain meds so that the pain does not have a chance to come back. No one should have to suffer through pain like you have had. I'll be thinking about you...get some sleep.

Chemo is heck! We hope that
Chemo is heck! We hope that you get better soon. We are sending our thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.
I just had a nurse tell me Chemo does not make one that sick. I told her, I pray that she never has to know the pain of chemo. The other nurse came over and appologized for the first nurse. I told her I was sincere, that I wish chemo on no one. Few take it easy, most take it hard.
Keep up the good thoughts and you will do well.
Best Always, mike

Vent anytime....
So sorry you are having such a hard time, hurting and feeling so horrible. Hope they can get things straightened out and get you back on track. I am sure it was worse because you expected minimal side effects and then to have to deal with it being so bad. Thinking of you and wishing you the best. ~ Ann

Thank you to all of your for your support and strength in helping me get through this terrible hardship in my life. I have been suffering the most severe bone pain and nause since i started chem the 8th. Tonight I visitedmy local band-aid station again and the contacted my onc. whom I have been trying to reach for the last 4 days. My onc has me in an ambulance as I speak and on my way to Columbus to be admitted to the hospital. He said this is abnormal and he is going to get to the bottom of it. So that:s where I stand as of now. All I want is to be able to get back to my normal routine of xleaning, laundry, dishes, taking care of my husbandwhen he has his seizures and all the pain and sickness is holding me back. I've been eating healthier, walikng short trips when I can and everything to try to get back to normal. This cancer does not know who it's f***ing with. It WILL NOT BEAT ME!

I am glad that the oncologist is finally getting to the bottom of your problems. The cleaning, laundry, dishes, and taking care of your husband will have to wait because you have to be the focus right now. It will get better, but it is so hard to be patient....hopefully this will be the answer to getting back to your life. Thinking of you and sending a huge hug.....~Ann

Honestly, getting back to the housework is fine, but it looks like its going to take time, and until then, you don't need to be overdoing it. I'm sure your lovely new husband has hadnled his seizures up until now, and I'm betting he wants you well, and that means YOU TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF and the housework can pile up around you.
Do you have family or good friends close? I'm sure everyone would be more than willing to help with the laundry, which is one thing that does need doing.
I am so sorry that you are suffering so much. I am happy you had a good wedding day, but you seem to be having a lousy honeymoon.
Blessing to you, sweet KayeKay.
