in Anal Cancer #1

Could someone please tell me how to post a photo? I have gone to the "about me" page, browsed photos, selected and resized a photo. When I hit "open" nothing happens.

    On "About me" Edit page, after you hit browse, selected and opened your picture, hit grey "Submit" button on the bottom and wait till your picture comes up.

    Thanks so much, Alexandra. I didn't see the "submit" thingy. But, it's not my fault--I'm old and techonolgicaly challenged.

    Perhaps this won't make you feel better, but please know that even at over 4 1/2 years out of treatment, I am still very fearful.  I think it's the norm for cancer survivors.  I am a runner and have recurring dreams about not reaching my 5-year survivor date--as in, I am running a race and just yards from the finish line, I trip over my own feet and fall to the ground.  At least, I think that's what the dream is symbolic of.  I must say, it gets me in worry mode every time!  How I wish cancer treatment came with a written guarantee.  Sadly, it does not.  However, the good news with our cancer is that the rate of successful treatment and 5-year survival is very high!  They do not track people past 5-years, so it's impossible to know what the percentages are after that, but I have known people on several websites who are way past the 5-year mark.  I guess all we can do is try to take the best care of ourselves that we can and remain hopeful and positive that we have beaten this disease.  I try to give fear a limited amount of time when it pops into my head, then I move on.

    My first scan since treatment has shown that primary tumour and1 lymph node have seemingly responded to treatment (still evidence they are there, butsmaller. There is, however another lymph node that has shown no evidence of change from initial scan last November (I finished ttreatment 25th January). The unresponding lymph node cannot be biopsied due to position, so another scan due 7th June.  I have an examination under anaesthetic next Monday.  So fearful I understand....... & not sure if it ever goes away after this diagnosis. Io was expecting either a response ir no response, not this scenario

    Try not to worry.  I have swollen lymp nodes in different areas of my body that are swollen but they do not light up on scans.
