What a difference a year makes
Tomorrow is Easter Sunday and I was thinking where I was just 12 months ago on Easter Sunday. I was home on a 4 hour pass from medical rehab to celebrate Easter with my family. I was in a wheelchair, had a walker close by and had to be helped to the dinner table. Tomorrow I will be with no wheelchair or walker - have gone shopping and bought a large chicken and all the fixings for a wonderful family celebration meal. I will be cooking and greeting my family and thanking God and my oncologist for a new lease on life. Why am I sharing this with you may you ask? It's to let you know that the monster that tried to take my life away (the big C) will not and cannot win. I am now in remission from 4th stage lymphoma-living a pretty much normal life- hair all about back to normal- strength back, and an attitude of graditude to God and all that helped me through a very rough 18 months. You can fight the same fight and be victorious as I am- remain positive and take each day one day at a time- trusting God and your doctor to see your life become new again. Do you see the picture of my little grandaughter in my posts? She came to my hospital bed when I was in the worst possible medical condition and touched my hand. I made a pact with God that I would like to see her grow up if He would help me overcome the cancer in my body. He has done just that and I stand before you a man who has prayed and seen his prayers answered. Please know that God answers prayers and we must do our parts too-following our doctor's orders to see that hope for our lives. May God bless you all this Easter and always. Hugs all around - Steve

Know the feeling
Steve,
I have been in remission for 2 1/2 years. I remember when I was going thru R-CVP I went out to help unload groceries from the truck. I picked up a 30 lb. bag of dog food and it felt like 200 lbs. I could not pick up anything more than 20 lbs and even that was a chore for me. It takes a while to get the strength back thats for sure. John
HAPPY EASTER !!!!!!!!

Amen, Steve!
I attribute my existence to the prayers that rose on my behalf. Doctor, not a religious man, has called my case "a miracle to be watched." That is good enough for me. Yet, I was losing my life, grasping it ever tighter as I got worse. When I let go, and trusted God with it, He gave it back to me. He was waiting for me to simply trust Him. Easy to do? No! But, extremely rewarding. Happy Easter - death is defeated!

Thank you Donna - when we let go and let God - He provides the miracles - If you could have seen me a year and a half ago when I was close to death with a nasty staph infection in the hospital and then finding out I had cancer 4th stage- I thought my life was over-but God had other plans and today I am almost back to normal- driving again- able to shop by myself and making doctor appointments too. A true God miracle. Hugs to you and awesome health is my prayer for you. Steve
