O/T: Post what makes you happy
l.
The "Pets" thread was fun, but it limited things to those who have pets (obviously).
I thought this thread could be for posting whatever makes you happy... a place, a person, a meal, anything. Could be pics pulled from the Internet too, so those who don't want to post anything personal can still take part. I'm going to start with a photo of someone who is very dear to me, my great-niece Liliana. Her mom is a single parent, and so I get the privilege of taking care of her every week. Here she is, getting ready for Easter...

One of the things that makes me and my husband happy is
the Scrabble apps we each have on our iPads. Countless hours at the hospital waiting for appointments and long infusions treatments where we would play with one another to pass the time. -- C

Homeless in Pismo Beach FunnyAnnLouise said:Our family cabin........
Lots of good times and wonderful memories.....fishing , swimming, kayaking, rope swing, and family game nights.
I picked this picture. This is Pismo Beach, Calif. and if you can see the whole in the rock a homeless man was sleeping in there with his sleeping bag. Pismo Beach is one of our favorite places to go. We also love the mountains for Kayaking etc. HUGS George & Diane

We play a lot of cards in our family. Our "signature" game is one my husband learned from his grandparents...they called it Crazy Bridge. We only recently learned (while looking it up online with a question about rules) that it's actually called "Oh Hell". My very religious grandparents-in-law apparently didn't care for that name and came up with a more suitable one!

What part of the country is it in?
ETA oops...directed at the post higher up! Don't know why it landed lower down in the thread.
But while I'm here...that's an interesting picture. Beautiful beach, but kind of sad someone has to make his home there.

It is a 3 1/2 hour drive from our house. My son and his family went down this week for spring break. The kids love it! They are 9, 6, and 1 1/2. This is what the cabin looked like this week.....~ Ann

yes.....let's hear about the cabin.....we do not see many here and i must admit to a slight cabin addiction.....lovely.......place
mags
I got my own piece of Owens Sound:)....just a little bit further South than you.....and yes, this is Texas...and that is snow, LOL!
About 75 feet from the house...
It's even more primitive than yours is...no running water...no plumbing whatsoever...no running water...no electricity (unless I drag it via extension cords)...completely unfinished inside...just 2 x 4's on the inside...my imagination shows me where the walls would be...and where the electrical outlets would be:)
No bathrooms or outhouses either...so you can just hang it off the side of the porch in a pinch ...or if too embarassed, slip around to the back, LOL! LOL! Now, that's freedom the way nature intended it to be:)
It's all I got - probably all I will ever have...and my goal will be to finish it out...got big plans for it.
Ann: That sure looks like a wonderful place to be kickin' it...wow!
Taken from my back porch...

The cabins are just so great to look at.
This is ours that I designed and my husband built with some help from our son. It is on our property overlooking a hill. Maybe doesn't qualify as a cabin because of all the glass, but we use it as such and have had folks come to visit and stay in it. -- Cynthia

England, my England
Happy. I am happy most of the time, but I am beyond happy when I am back in England walking the lanes and fields and drinking in the absolute beauty of nature.
This is a picture taken at the beginning of spring last year. I love trees, and I am taking a picture of 'Isaac's Tree'. It has a special place in my heart.
It sure beats the Nevada desert.

What makes me happy is having a happy wife. If she is grumpy it makes me sad but when she is happy, I am happy also....LOL happiness follows....
