removing your own catheter...any experience with this...?

It's easy: Just cut the "y" to let the baloon deflate, then pull it out. The only problem is that if you still can't pee after 4 hours you may have to go to the ER for another catheter.
thanks..i hope it's that easy....i fear the catheter will be the worse part of this whole deal...at least as far as the immediate surgery is concerned.
re the not being able to pee....i assume that issue could arise regardless of who removed the catheter.....
