My Daddy!

Hi there, I am new to this forum and I was hoping someone could help me! My Daddy (84) was told today that the cancer he had removed 10 days ago was marginal. My Mama is so worried and asked me what it meant and sadly I had no idea. She was in to much shock from hearing the word cancer to take in what the doctor was saying I think!

So I was wondering if anyone here could help me understand what it means when a doctor tells you that it is marginal.
