Anxiety about work, daughter 2 1/2 years post cancer
Hi, I haven't visited these boards in a long time. Have had my ups and downs since thyroid cancer and an earlt melanoma in 2010. I have been a stay home Mom since my daughter was born 6 1/2 years ago. I am now about to start a new job after being out of work for 6 years, going through 2 cancers, and loss of loved ones. I think it will be good for me to get out with adults again, but I'm afraid about how I am going to do, not being around enough for my 6 year daughter. The hours they want me to work, though only part time, are not the best for having a young child at home. My hubby has a demanding job and travels alot and my Mom just turned 70 and was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor. She says she will help out with my daughter, but I think she is unsure about her abilities now... as I am about my own now. My hubby says, just try it, we will work it out, but I cant stop worrying. I think it will pass once I'm on the job, but right now, I am feeling so anxious. Anyone else go though this?
