I absolutely love that you are not letting breast cancer dictate your life. You go on that trip and have a wonderful time. Enjoy the time with your sisters!! Wishing you a great trip and great results!!
We will be on the bus.
in my case PET was more sensitive than bone scan. Please make sure you will follow by PET later.
have fun at reunion

So sorry to hear this, Eileen. I'll be thinking of you and sending lots of prayers and good vibes your way. Have a wonderful time with your sisters in Savannah!
Hugs,
Linda
as long as we can stop for some beignets! Enjoy your sisters in Savannah and come back for results on the 18th. You know your body best, but you also know that the increased rib pain can be something other than bc. Best to be sure, of course.
Another test, of course, will be whether you're going to peak at the results before you see your oncologist . . . .

You know I shall be on the bus and hoping and hoping that they don't find anything. If they do, we start again together... and we both see the oncologist on the 18th.
Have a great reunion with your sisters.
Best,
Doris
I just realized that we are both headed to oncologist on the same day! I will be thinking of you and I know you will be thinking of me.

Olga, I was first diagnosed correctly with mets after my second bone scan. First bone scan, the radiologist (who sounded like he was ten) said there were 3 maybe 4 fractures, but never mentioned the word metastasis. Of course, rib fractures are very, very suspicious for mets, but there were many extenuating circumstances (Hurricane Katrina, flooded house, hubbie with fractured knee, moving furniture by myself, etc.). I think everyone was confused in Louisiana that year!
I think I had three, maybe four PET scans from 2005-2009 that were all inconclusive. Usually PET scans ARE more sensitive. I don't know why I have to be different...lol.
However, my onc ususally does both and I will ask him on the 18th. I don't like to leave any stone unturned. Thanks for the reminder and thank for the positive thoughts!!!

I've never had a raspberry latte! That sounds divine!
~Have your fun, and I will be praying all goes well with your scans, and that the rib pain be replaced with rib tickling fun with your sisters!!
