The Cancer Survival Toolbox
Someone on KIDNEY_ONC has just drawn attention to The Cancer Survival Toolbox which is available free in both audio and script form on the Web, at this link:
https://secure2.convio.net/nccs/site/Ecommerce/815932401?store_id=1301
It has been put together under the auspices of the National Coalition For Cancer Survivorship and I believe it will have a great deal to offer many of us here, particularly newbies. The contents appeal to me as very appropriate and impressive and the little sampling I've done so far convinces me that it's very good stuff. The NCCS describes it thus:
"The Cancer Survival Toolbox is a free, award-winning audio program developed by leading cancer organizations to help people develop important skills to meet the challenges of their illness. You can listen to the program online or order the set of CD's. © 2012.
The audio programs address scenarios for many topics and issues cancer patients/survivors face during their cancer journey. The conversations touch on issues from how to communicate with your doctor, family and loved ones, to understanding complicated financial issues. Each scenario is inspired by true stories of real cancer patients/survivors.

Toolbox CD's - Great for car and travel
Bringing this up again in case anyone missed Tex's original posting. I went into the site and registered as I wanted to listen to some of the topics, but got pulled away after registering. Just two days later, I received the Toolbox with the CD's and book in the mail--ALL FREE.
Haven't listened to all, but it addresses tons of topics.
