Question about CLL symptoms

I have just begun chemo (BR) treatment for CLL which was diagnosed after I went in three months ago with an knawing discomfort in my upper abdomen, center, right under my rib cage. I was also experiencing stomach bloating and couldn't (still can't) wear any pants that put any pressure on my abdomen. CT scan discovered enlarged nodes and biopsy confirmed CLL. The doctors however seem puzzled by my symptoms that they say are atypical, but they have decided to start chemo in hopes that it helps the symptoms. I am so worried that the discomfort and bloating will not go away. Has anyone had similar symptoms of CLL/Sll and has chemo helped?
