Question for Tethys (fat flush plan)

Hi Tethys,
I read your recommendation of the fat flush plan on another thread. Have you used this? I found the website and it looks very interesting to me! I am on Doxil for my first recurrence. However, I need to do something. I lost a lot of weight when I first become ill last year. I've already re-gained 20 lbs. of it. UGH! I want to eat healthy, plus lose weight before this gets out of control again. Have you used any of their products? They sound good but seem really expensive.
Thanks,
Carla

Fat Flush Plan
Carla,
Personally, I don't believe that dieting to lose weight is a good idea while you are in treatment. You want to keep the stressors on your body to a minimum, and losing weight is a form of stress to the body. Once you are out of treatment and your body has recovered from it, then is a good time to focus on losing extra weight. That is not to say, however, that you can't focus on a healthy diet now, if your tastebuds and appetite allow. Two good resources for you now are "The Cancer Fighting Kitchen Cookbook," and resources on the Paleo diet. These foods will help support your body in a healthy manner, while it is dealing with chemo.
If you wanted to lose weight after chemo, the Fat Flush Plan is a healthy, effective way to lose weight pretty quickly. I haven't used the diet recently, because I'm following a Paleo diet now, but I've used it in the past. The foods and diet the author recommends are good for an anti-cancer lifestyle, plus if you stick to the plan, you will lose weight. If you read the book, you will understand how the wrong foods negatively impact our bodies. I never used any of her products, wasn't even aware that she sold any. I just followed the plan and the recipes in her book.
