Queer Soup Theater, a small nonprofit theater company based in Boston, is working on a new theater project.
Queer Soup is interested in creating a theater piece that explores the complexity of issues around how those who identify as FTM transgender, genderqueer and/or gender nonconforming have experienced a GYN cancer, such as Ovarian, Cervical, or Uterine cancer. If you would like to learn more about this project
please email Mal at queersoup@gmail.com.
Mal, a Queer Soup co-founder, is heading this project, and is an ovarian cancer survivor who identifies as genderqueer.
Queer Soup works collaboratively to create original works that explore lgbt themes. Past productions include the critically acclaimed "We All Will Be Received" that explored drag and gender identity, and "Home", about faith, family, and gender.
QUEER SOUP IS A COLLABORATION OF QUEER ARTISTS WHO CULTIVATE NEW WORKS THAT INTRODUCE, UNITE, AND INCITE AUDIENCES BY USING PERFORMANCE TO SMUGGLE IDEAS ACROSS SOCIETY'S BORDERS.

Bravo for putting on this show! Although I am straight I support my friends in the Gay community. I have had many Gay friends over the years, mostly because I am an actress myself, and I applaud your efforts. I live in Maine but I come down to Boston occasionally for my cancer check-ups. Please let us know when and where the show will be. I would love to see it.

It's a great initiative
Ultimately all biological females: gay, straight, bi- or FTM transgender are facing the same invisible enemy and have similar issues living with this terminal disease.
I will be in Boston for the class re-union in summer and would love to see the show.
Best wishes and Merry Christmas to Karen Mal Malme and everyone else at Queer Soup Theater.
Cheers from Canada,
Alexandra
