Rest in peace - lizzydavis (Lou Ann)
It seems each of us who had tried to contact her via email here got the following message from her husband George:
I just found Lou Ann's password to this site tonight after many attempts and trying to email the webmaster. Unfortunately, Lou Ann died on August 25th, 2012 from pancreatic cancer. She tried to beat it but God had other plans for her, She loved this site and her many friends of 3 or 4 years. Lou Ann is now with her mother, father and sister. She left me with a heavy heart and her little poodle Lizzy. I miss her every day but as days become months I am starting to live life again. I just want to thank everyone for the many hours Lou Ann spent on this site chating with her true friends that helped her through her prolonged fight. I am not sure how this site works but would you please notify her friends of her passing. Sincerely, George Davis

I have been holding my breath waiting for this news...thank you so much for taking the time to contact us. Lou Ann our (LIzzy) was a wonderful friend on this forum. She always seemed to me like the perfect lady in the very best sense of the word. She was strong but so very gentle and filled with grace. She was always kind and as Tina says....she had that beautiful smile....I loved Lizzy and miss her very much.
Best wishes to you George as you go forward with your LouAnn

Just Knew That Something Was Amiss in Our Universe:(
I've been keeping tabs on Lizzy here and there...a few weeks ago, she flashed across my mind and I sent her a quick, easy PM...just checkin' in, you know.
Everyday I would check to see if it had been read...but it stayed highlighted...I began to get that sinking feeling in my stomach that something had gone wrong. I searched obits and could not find anything, so I thought maybe she was just resting.
Marie, a couple of days ago, I was going to email you to see if you had heard anything, but thought I would wait before sounding any kind of alarm...I read the email that George sent out when I got to work this morning...just at the time that I saw your post.
And just got that sad feeling...
I know Lizzy was upbeat about things...last we talked, she was in good spirits and was in a calm place...I always found it quite remarkable how at peace she really was with things. She had a certain sensibility about her.
We used to talk some...one time she needed help for a cancer friend and asked me to write something for him to try and help:)
I guess one of my fondest memories of Lizzy...she and George sent me South Carolina sweatshirt one year, when I was home sick on my last fight.
Anyone that knows me, knows that I don't go around "flying colors" for another team...but for Lizzy, I used to wear that shirt out in public and get alot of comments...and I'd tell them about the generous heart of the person who had sent it to me with love.
It will be hard to look at that shirt for awhile now...whenever I used to wear it, I'd think of Lizzy and just get a big grin on my face:)
She was "good folk."
I'm gonna' miss her...but I'll always know where to find her:)
Yet another friend from my class of '09 who gave all...
Love you, LouAnn:)
Thank you, George for letting everybody know...and thank you, Marie, for posting this news.

We will miss Lou Ann, I remember who calm and at peace she was after she found oout about the Pancreatic Cancer. Lou Ann wrote a beautiful post, called Waiting to die. I read that post many times and at first it made me sad, but later is gave me peace.
My thoughts are with you George thid Christmas, she was ready, what a strength and peace she gave to all of us.
