Finally discharged by the surgeon

It only took 11 post-op visits (plus an additional surgery) but I've finally been discharged by my surgeon, back on to my regular annual mammogram/annual appointment with her schedule.
However, I did learn something significant: my questionable mammogram that started this crazy journey may have been caused by trauma to my breast about 10 months ago. I took a nasty fall on the ice, landing hard with the handle of a curling stone ramming into my breast. If only someone had asked me if I'd had any injuries, this ordeal might have been avoided.
As it was, every step led to more questions and the next step in diagnostics, up through surgeries. No one every asked me anything, and I'd forgotten about that fall until a few days ago.
Just important to remember: trauma can cause an irregular mammogram.
Thanks again to everyone for all of your support through all of this! Now we all need to be done with breast cancer (and all other cancers, for that matter.)
