Latest bad news on CT scan. Nodules in both lungs five ranging from 3mm - 5mm. We have to wait for pet scan on Monday. Tues is first chemo.
Our heart goes out to all the 20 children who lost their lives in CT. today.

    Nodule (s) too
Currently, I have a 5mm module on my right upper lung and will know my treatment plan next week.
Have a feeling non-operable (actually ran in to my lung surgeon after my pet scan and he mentioned it was in a difficult place. He was coming out of the cafeteria and I said hello....
Just wonder what else could be lurking in this ole body.
My left mass was biopsied last fall and a left lung lobectomy followed and my liver lesion was too difficult to biopsy, at the time, so they biopsied the lung.
My liver hes two new lesions that grew from end of August when I was off chemo. Who knows? Maybe the beast was lurking all along.
My oncologist mentioned radiation but she did not have the final report from the radiologist so I don't know how this will all turn out.
Very concerned about chemo, of course.

    Biopsy
I have never allowed my lungs to biopsied. I know its cancer, my onc knows it's cancer, but I'm not going to chance seeding, I've got enough tumors hanging around in places. Plus had I received a biopsy that was positive on my lung tumors, I would not have received my liver resection in 2010, I prefer the surgeries. Just something to think about.

    Thanks Winter Marie
I didn't know about the seeding back in 08 but they did biopsy the nodules in the left lobe that was removed.
    Can't look back now.

I made the same mistake with my liver, I didn't know better and let them biopsy. Live and learn, we do...eventually. Didn't know either at the time. Because of my sister-in-law I knew about the lungs, but didn't even think it was the same thing on the liver, now how's that for not thinking things through thoroughly??

Yes, and my first oncologist would tell me you will die of a stroke or heart attack first. Wtx!!!!
I took so much for granted and was going thrum a divorce with a checked out husband and the kids were in so many high school activities.

The name Winter is in reality my first name and Marie is my middle name, a couple of my nieces are Summer and Autumn (we have no Springs).
I live less then a mile from the beach in Santa Cruz, the day this picture was taken I was watching my son boogie board,he loved to do that but needed someone to watch in case of undertow, so I spent many an hour at the beach with a lawn chair and a book when he was a teenager.

    I like your name. :-)
I have cousins in CA-very beautiful state and coastline.
In 2009 I had an opportunity to drive up to San Francisco on the coastline highway....very scenic.
    Nice picture.

    Lung nodules
Hope you dont mind me asking! Did you have a metastitis from a colorectal cancer to the lung and if so is that why you are concerned about 5mm lung nodules. I thought that from my investigations and discussions with colleagues tha 95 percent of tiny nodules were benign. Cheers dinkydi8
